London, Jul 7 (ANI): Spanish striker Fernando Torres, who is being pursued by top clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona, has told Liverpool that he would not discuss his future until he is back from holidays.

Torres has told Liverpool: "I won't talk to you until after I've had a holiday."

"I want to finish the World Cup and go on holiday as I haven't had one for three years, rest and then there will be time to talk about all of that. The situation isn't going to change whether we talk soon or later," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

The ace striker, preparing for today's semi-final showdown with Germany, said: "Honestly, teams won't be able to do anything until the World Cup has finished. The players here prefer to wait - there is time."

Torres added: "The club will explain the real situation to me of how things are at present and in the future - and I will also talk to the new coach."

Liverpool and new coach Roy Hodgson would fight hard to keep hold of their star striker, although a bid of around 70 million pounds would be hard to knock back.

Chelsea is likely to make a move once Torres' World Cup duties are over. (ANI)
