New Delhi, Oct 14 (PTI) Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi was today booed upon as he gave his speech at the closing ceremony here. Kalmadi, who has been at the centre of various allegations in the run up to the Games was also jeered at during the Opening Ceremony. The grand 60,000 seat capacity stadium that was filled with spectators echoed with shouts of boos as he made his way through the speech. Even when he thanked Organising Committee Secretary General Lalit Bhanot for the work done, the crowd erupted into shouts of boos. Interestingly, the crowd cheered aloud as he took the names of Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit, Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi during his speech. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was also greeted with shouts of joy when he entered the stadium along with his wife Gursharan Kaur.
