Surrey, Jun 19 (PTI) Skipper Cheteshwar Pujara starred with an unbeaten double hundred as India ''A'' made a mammoth 543 for eight in the fist innings before dealing an early blow to the West Indies ''A'' on the second day of their four-day match here. The Caribbeans were 12 for one at the draw of stumps with Omar Philips (9) and Andrew Fletcher (0) holding the fort after Kraig Brathwaite (3) was dismissed early in the innings. Earlier, West Indies ''A'' struggled to keep in check the run flow with Pujara leading the assault with 34 fours and a six in his 355-ball 208. Such was India''s dominance that number nine batsman Jaskaran Singh managed to notch up a 90-ball 58. Vice-captain Wriddhiman Saha''s 129-ball 62 was another notable contribution in the Indian total. Eventually Saha became one of the five wickets that pacer Andre Russell picked up on an otherwise disappointing day for the West Indian bowlers. After being hammered by the Indian batsmen, the dispirited West Indians could not manage much of an encouraging start and lost a wicket early in the innings. Brathwaite was dismissed by Jaidev Unadkat, who had him plumb in front of the wicket. Brief Score: India ''A'' 1st Innings: 543 for 8 decl in 147 overs (Cheteshwar Pujara 208 not out, Wriddhiman Saha 62, Andre Russell 5/97) West Indies ''A'' 1st Innings: 12 for 1 in 7 overs.
