Indian women athletes create history in Commonwealth Games

New Delhi, October 15 (ANI): The fairer sex showed nerve of steel once again as Indian women athletes performed exceedingly well winning 13 gold medals out of 38 golds won by India in the recently concluded Commonwealth games 2010 and showed to the world that time has come to give the women their share in male dominated societies. In events like shooting, archery, badminton, the women players gave tough competition to their male counterparts winning 37 medals out of total 101 medals won. It was a fitting finale for India when Saina Nehwal claimed the badminton gold coming from a matchpoint down to ensure that the hosts finished ahead of England in the gold count.
