Mumbai, Nov 1 (PTI) There were enough Indian role models in golf whose worldwide achievements would help the game to grow and thrive in the country, according to newly crowned world number 1 golfer Lee Westwood. "I think the achievements of India''s own players in Europe, America and Asia have greatly boosted the profile of the game in the sub-continent," Lee told Mumbai-based "All Sports" magazine in an interview. "I am sure the game will continue to grow in India because youngsters now have great role models within their own country," said the English golfer who dethroned Tiger Woods at the top, according to a media release. The 37-year-old golf pro, a huge fan of Indian food, has also expressed his wish to visit the country at some time in the future. "I have heard so many good things about the sub-continent that I definitely hope to play there one day. I love Indian food and I''m sure Jeev (Milkha Singh) and Shiv (Kapur) know all the best places to go to," he said. "Hopefully there will not be a fixture clash so that I can get there," Westwood said in the interview featured in the latest issue of the magazine. Westwood, who has played in a number of co-sanctioned events on the Asian Tour, is to compete in WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai later this week along with Tiger Woods. Now that he has reached the top of the heap, Westwood, who is still to win a Major, is determined to keep his crown for as long as possible, but expects Tiger Woods to roar back. "Knowing Tiger as I do, he will probably go out and win the HSBC world event. He won''t like being No 2 at anything," he said.
