Guangzhou, Nov 19 (PTI) Indian hoopsters suffered their third consecutive defeat in the Asian Games, going down 63-78 to Iran in a Group F preliminary match of the Basketball event at Ying Dong Gymnasium here today. The Indian were no match for the Iranians as they lagged behind throughout the entire quarters. Iran looked undoubtedly the better team as it opened up a 44-29 lead at the breather and held on to the difference, moving 67-48 at the third quarter before eventually winning it comfortably at 78-63. India had started off well in the tournament, beating Afghanistan in the qualifying round but suffered consecutive defeats at the hands of Qatar and Chinese Taipei in their last two matches. India will next face Phillipines on Sunday, before taking on Japan on Monday.
