Cuttack cheers for Kings

Cuttack, March 19 -- The Barabati Stadium may be playing host to the Deccan Chargers in the third edition of the IPL but the loudest cheer from the handful of spectators, watching the net session on Thursday, was reserved for Kings XI batsman Yuvraj Singh. The former captain of the visiting side is one of the most popular cricketers in this part of the country due to his hard-hitting abilities and that should ensure that the team gets substantial support in their away encounter. However, public support will be the last thing on the minds of the Kings XI, who are keen to register their first win, and the final outcome will depend on how well their bowlers function against the Chargers' explosive line up. After the initial hiccup, the defending champions got into the groove against Royal Challengers in their last game and start as favourites against a team that is low on confidence after the hammering their bowlers received in Bangalore.
