Kolkata, Jul 16 (PTI) Trevor James Morgan of England, a 56-year-old WEFA ''A'' license holder, will coach the former National League champions East Bengal this season. East Bengal club president Pranab Dasgupta informed media persons at the club tent today that Morgan, who acted as the development coach of Hul City during 2008-09, is expected to take charge of the red-and-yellow brigade towards end of this month. Dasgupta informed that Morgan also had a stint as a coach with West Ham and Black Burn of England. Under Morgan''s tutelage one of the clubs in Singapore also became soccer league champions. Asked who would assist Morgan, Dasgupta said, "at this moment Tushar Rakshit and Atanu Bhattachrajee are still there as assistant coach and football coach respectively." But whether they would continue in the same position would be "finalised after consultation with Morgan", he said. Dasgupta hoped that East Bengal, who finished eighth in the National League last time, would be able to regain its lost glory with Morgan as their chief coach. Meanwhile, the lone soccer Dronacharya in the country and former national coach Syed Naeemuddin was appointed as the coach of Mohammedan Sporting club for the ongoing season. Mohammedan president and Union Minister of State for Tourism Sultan Ahmed today announced Naeemuddin''s name as the coach in his presence at a press conference at their club tent. Commenting on his appointment, Naeemuddin said he would strive his best to earn as many laurels as possible this time. PTI Cor RG DB
