Haryana school wins CBSE national Judo championship

Dhanbad, Nov 22 (PTI) PSM Senior Secondary School of Sonipat, Haryana, bagged the overall top prize in the CBSE national judo championship, which concluded here on Monday. The Haryana school won 40 points with 14 medals, including four gold and five silver, while Shah Satnam School Sirsa finished second with 33 points and seven medals (six gold and one silver). GIS Sawda got the third position with 25 points (eight medals including four gold and two silver). Shah Satnam School, Sirsa, became champion in girls event with 33 points. RSD Academy Muradabad, with 20 points, won the runners-up trophy. Dhanbad Public School (Jharkhand) finished third with 17 points. In boys section PSM Senior Secondary School Sonipat became champion with 36 points while GIS Sawda (25 points) and Shah Shatnam School (22 points) bagged the second and third position respectively. Suman Gupta, Dhanbad superintendent of police, was the chief guest in the closing ceremony.
