Man U, Arsenal's Champions League ouster not good for Chelsea: Ancelotti

London, Apr 9(ANI): Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti fears his club's title hopes are at risk after Manchester United and Arsenal stormed out of the Champions League.

Chelsea leads United and Arsenal at the top of the Premier League by just two and three points respectively.

Ancelotti had hoped that the two clubs would continue to be distracted by playing in the latter stages of the Champions League, but Arsenal were thrashed 4-1 by Barcelona, while United crashed out on away goals to Bayern Munich.

"It is not good news for us. The Champions League is a very important competition and you have to use a lot of energy to play in it. But both teams can now focus on the league. It's the only competition they have left," The Sun quoted Ancelotti, as saying.

"We have to pay attention because they are very close to us and we need to run quickly to arrive in first place. I'd have liked United to win against Bayern and to stay in the Champions League. It would have made it easier for us," he added.

Ancelotti further believes that United will bounce back from the defeats to give them tough competition.

"They had a bad week, but now they have the chance to come back and win. They have the quality and experience to change their state of mind, to stay focused," he added. (ANI)
