Chandigarh girl to represent India in World shooting

Chandigarh, Jul 30 (PTI) City girl Meera Kumari of has been selected to participate in junior World Shooting Championship at Munich in Germany. A native of Bihar, Meera is a cadet of 01 Chandigarh girls Bn, NCC and is leaving the city for Germany tonight, a defence spokesman said here today. A renowned shooter of NCC Directorate of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pardesh, Meera had participated in many national competitions conducted by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI). She had won a gold medal (team) in prone position and team silver in three positions at the 51st National Championship in 2008. She also won individual silver medal (prone position) in the 52 National Championship and team gold (prone), team silver in three positions and individual bronze (prone) in the 53rd National Shooting Championship.
