Kozhikode, Aug 30 (PTI) The Queen''s Baton Relay (QBR) of the Commonwealth Games was accorded a rousing reception when it arrived here today. The baton was received by Kerala Industries minister Elamaram Kareem and Forest minister Binoy Viswom at Ramanattukara in the district. Government officials, a large number of yesteryear sportspersons, students and sports council officials attended the function. A large number of people including women had assembled on the roadside to have a glimpse of the QBR. Later, it was handed over to renowned coach O M Nambiar and was taken to the city by former international footballer Sethumadhavan. Later the baton was taken to the neighbouring district of Wayanad.
