London, Aug 30 (PTI) An Indian photographer Dheeraj Dixit today alleged that it was popular Pakistani actress Veena Malik who had approached him with a claim she managed seven Pakistani cricketers with her and could strike a deal for fixing matches with their help. Dixit said that during a telephonic conversation, Veena, estranged girl friend of Pakistani paceman Md Asif, told "me that she is "managing" seven Pakistani players. She did not name the players but told me that if you want we can do a big deal. I''ve results. That time, 2-3 matches with Australia had taken place and more were in the offing". "During that time, she told me if I had any big businessman from India who wanted to earn a lot of money in a night, then I can introduce him to her", Dixit told Indian TV channels. Veena, in her interview to a Pakistani TV channel, alleged Dixit was a bookie whom Asif had paid for spot-fixing during matches. Dixit, however, denied the charge and said Veena had called him over phone when he was on a tour of Dhaka in January this year. "She told me Pakistan was already on that tour and all the matches are fixed there", Dixit claimed. He claimed he never met Veena and "can''t even identify her if she comes in front of me".
