Sydney, Oct 26(ANI): Australian vice-captain Michael Clarke is confident that he can come to grips with the Twenty20 format with a good show at Sunday's match against Sri Lanka.

Clarke averages just 21.45 over 27 Twenty20 international innings at a strike rate of 103.96.

"I'd like to obviously have more success personally, it (T20) is an area of my game I continue to work hard on and look to improve," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Clarke, as saying.

"My performances haven't been as good as I would like, but certainly think I can perform in that form of the game and a good way to start is come Sunday in Perth, so I'm looking forward to that opportunity," he added.

The 29-year-old also admitted that he needed to lift his form after scoring just 35 runs at an average of 8.75 in the 2-0 Test series defeat in India.

When asked what Australia needed to change to win the upcoming Ashes home series against England, Clarke said: "Individual performances have got to improve."

"I think I'm a great example of that. My performances weren't up to scratch in the Test series in India and if I want to play a big part in this Ashes series, I need to be at the top of my game," he added. (ANI)
