London, June 18 (IANS) England football coach Fabio Capello has banned the vuvuzelas from the team hotel at the World Cup in South Africa.

The drone of vuvuzelas has been the centre of a controversy this World Cup with several teams and players saying it is making difficult to hear anything.

Even many broadcasters have got several complaints from television viewers to find a way to mute the persistent noise in the stadiums caused by blowing of the vuvuzela horns. FIFA, though, said they will not ban the vuvuzelans.

With England facing Algeria in a crucial encounter Friday, Capello wants his team to be fully focussed and not distracted by anything.

'Capello, who is turning 64 Friday, blew his top after hearing residents had been sounding their annoying horns until 3 a.m. the night before his team checked in at Cape Town's swanky Vineyard Hotel And Spa yesterday afternoon to prepare for tonight's match against Algeria,' the English media reported.

Hotel bosses confirmed that anyone found with a vuvuzela on the site would be thrown out.

'England are our VIP guests and we will be making them as comfortable as possible.

'They will not be disturbed by vuvuzelas here. They are not being allowed in the hotel and there are none on the premises,' a spokesman for the Vineyard was quoted as saying.
