Samui (Thailand), Jun 18 (PTI) Himmat Rai brought home a second round card of two-under 69, best by an Indian, to join compatriot Rahil Gangjee at the 26th place after the midway stage of the Queen''s Cup golf tournament here today. Three other Indians made the cut, which was set at 147, while the trio of Vikrant Chopra (148), Firoz Ali (155) and Gaurav Pratap Singh (159) crashed out after turning in poor second round cards. After an average opening round of three-over 74, Himmat carded 69 today for a two-day total of 143 and Gangjee''s second round of one-under 70 also had him with the same 36-hole aggregate. Among others, Anirban Lahiri, who carded 72 today, shared the 43rd place with fellow Indian Digvijay Singh (71) at 146. At tied 56th place with 147, Mandeo Pathania, who carded 72 today, was the only other Indian to make the cut. Thai veteran Thaworn Wiratchant produced a scintillating eight-under 63 to share the top spot along with countryman Prayad Marksaeng after the halfway stage of the USD 300,000 Asian Tour event. Chasing a record tying 12th career victory on the Asian Tour, the 43-year-old snared eight birdies for a blemish-free card at a defenceless Santiburi Samui Country Club for an eight-under 134 total.
