I will not disappoint: Saurabh Tiwary

Jamshedpur, June 10 (PTI) Only the second cricketer from Jharkhand to make the Indian team in recent times, Saurabh Tiwary is confident of doing well in the upcoming Asia Cup and said the selectors will not regret their decision. The Jharkhand Ranji captain said consistent performance in IPL-III helped him draw selectors'' attention. "It''s a dream come true. Obviously, there will be pressure on me and I am confident I will not disappoint the selectors, who posed faith in me," Tiwari, who scored 419 runs for the Mumbai Indians in the last edition of IPL, told newsmen here on Wednesday night. Tiwary is first cricketer from Jharkhand after current India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni to get a call for national duty and the aggressive middle-order batsman was felicitated by the State Cricket Association (JSCA), yesterday. JSCA president, Amitabh Choudhury said Tiwari would earn laurels for the state as well as the country like Dhoni. Following the felicitation, Tiwary visited Tata Main Hospital to see his friend, who was injured in a road accident near Chandil on the Tata-Ranchi road while accompanying him from Ranchi.
