Southern Railway to honour athletes

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 13 (PTI) The Southern Railway would honour athletes Sini Jose and P K Priya, who won medals for the country in the ongoing Commonwealth Games. The 4X400 m relay team, comprising Sini Jose and others had clinched gold, while the 4X100 m relay team with P K Priya as member won the bronze at the Games yesterday. Sini is working as a Ticket Examiner in Ernakulam while Priya is with the operating department at Kollam. Resmi Bose, Joseph Abraham, Prince HS Hylin and Dayala Ram Saran, working with the Thiruvananthapuram Division, have also participated in the Games events. The team members belonging to the Division would be suitably honoured on their arrival, a Railway press release here said. The Railway Sports Promotion Board, New Delhi, has already announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh to the gold medallist, the release said.
