The Sports Department of the Bharatiya Vidyapeeth University announced the allotment of venues for the 2010-11 Intercollegiate sports season, with five different institutions around the city being selected to host various sports.
The College Of Physical Education has been selected to host the Kho-Kho, Cross Country Running, Weight Lifting, Softball and Athletics tournaments, while the Boxing, Wresling, Judo and Cricket championships will be hosted by the College of Engineering, Pune.
The Hockey and Badminton competitions will be held at the Y.M. College, as will Swimming and Kabaddi.
The Homeopathic Medical College will play host to teams from all over the city in the Football, Chess and Handball events.
The final college which was selected as a venue for the remaining events I.M.E.D Pune, where the Table Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball competitions will be held.
The season will start with the Swimming competition on August 4, and will conclude with Cricket on October 23, with all the remaining events taking place in between.
