Indonesia's Olympic and former world champion doubles pairing Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan have settled a row with their national badminton federation and confirmed they will play in the world championships in Paris.

The second-ranked duo threatened to boycott the Aug. 23-29 tournament this week after the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) failed to enter them in the China Masters, part of the lucrative Super Series tour which the players said was a mandatory event for their sponsor.

The players had changed their minds after being assured they would be registered for the following Super Series tournament in Japan, Indonesian media said on Friday.

"We can accept the fact that we won't be able to play in China but we're glad that we'll be registered for the Japan Super Series," the Jakarta Globe quoted Markis as saying.

"We hope that's the end of the matter and we'll certainly play in Paris."
