Wayne Rooney to be ditched by Coca-Cola

London, Sept 13 (ANI): Coca-Cola, one of disgraced footballer Wayne Rooney's key sponsors, is apparently on the verge of ditching him over his hooker romps.

Coca-Cola execs are said to be horrified and bewildered by his antics.

They were already worried after the footballer, who advertises Coca-Cola Powerade in a 600,000pound-a-year deal, was pictured smoking and urinating in public three months ago.

Bosses at the company's US headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, think the latest allegations are the final straw.

However, the firm's Brit chiefs, who know Rooney's pulling power among his legions of adoring fans, desperately want to keep him.

"Americans cannot fathom the laddish culture that surrounds football," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

Rooney is paid 2.5pounds million a year from Coca-Cola and other sponsors. (ANI)
