Kochi, Oct 17 (PTI) The start of the first match of the one-day cricket series between India and Australia has been delayed due to heavy rains in the wee hours here today. Kochi has been witnessing heavy downpour since last Thursday which had resulted in practice sessions of both the teams being washed out. The ground is still covered with a blue sheet and the ground staff are at work. According to the experts, the match could be delayed for about two hours provided there was no rain again. The Indian and Australian team members had reached here on Thursday after the second Test in Bangalore, which India won. India had also won the first test at Mohali.
