India suffer second loss in Asian Games handball

Guangzhou, Nov 14 (PTI) India suffered their second consecutive loss, going down 28-37 against Qatar in a Group A match of the Asian Games'' handball competition here today. With the loss today, India are now in a difficult position to qualify for the semifinals. They had lost to China 21-41 in their opening match yesterday. India lost the plot in the first session as they were trailing 8-17 at the breather. They came back strongly in the second session by scoring an equal number of goals (20) with their rivals. For India, Irungbam Nayachandra Singh scored the maximum number of goals with nine while Binu Vasu scored five. India take on Saudi Arabia in their third group match on Tuesday.
