Mirpur, Jan 5 (PTI) In view of Lahore terror incident in March last year, Sri Lanka cricketers have come here for the tri-nation series along with their own security experts, a top Bangladesh board official said today. Bangladesh Cricket Board home tours organising secretary Ahmed Sajjadul Alam told PTI that tight security has been provided to both the visiting Sri Lankan and Indian sides and the plan has also been approved by the International Cricket Council. "Tight security is being provided to both Indian and Sri Lankan sides at the team hotel and the venue at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. Both the teams are happy with the security cover and we have also given the security plan to the ICC," Alam said. "But for obvious reasons, the Sri Lankans have come here along with their security experts," he added. A tight security cover has been thrown at the stadium with Bangladesh police and paramilitary forces personnel manning the venue, while the players were accompanied by the Rapid Action Battalion -- Bangladesh''s elite anti-terrorism and anti-crime force. A large posse of RAB personnel were present at the stadium when the Indian players had their practice session yesterday. Sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squad were also in tow at the main entry point to the ground. .
