Cape Town, June 20(ANI): France striker Nicolas Anelka has been kicked out of the World Cup for a foul-mouthed dressing-room outburst against his coach Raymond Domenech.

Anelka reportedly made obscene comments to Domenech at halftime during the 0-2 loss to Mexico on Thursday.

"Go and get f****d, you dirty son of a whore," News of The World quoted Anelka, as saying.

The Chelsea striker was sent home on Saturday by the French Football Federation's disciplinary commission.

Meanwhile, Domenech claims that he would have been happy for Anelka to stay with the France squad had he issued an apology.

Domenech insists he had no issue with the player venting his frustration, with France's performances on the field at the World Cup causing tension within the camp.

Once the striker refused to do so, Domenech believes that excluding him from the squad was the only option available to the French Football Federation. (ANI)
