P T Usha elated on being chosen as selection panel head

Kozhikode, Jul 22 (PTI) Former Sprint queen P T Usha, who was named Chairperson of the Selection Ccommittee for this year''s National sports Awards, today expressed happiness on being chosen to head the panel. "I am really happy on being chosen as Head of the panel. Earlier, I had functioned as a member of the committee on three or four occasions", Usha told PTI. Usha, who was practising with her wards from the P T Usha Athletic Academys, said the 17-member committee has representatives who had excelled in their respective fields. "My ambition was that the deserving should get the awards", she said. The 17-member selection panel headed by Usha will select winners for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Puraskar, Arjua Award and Gyan Chand award.
