Yuvraj dropped from Indian team for Test series against Australia

New Delhi, Sep. 20 (ANI): Middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh was predictably dropped from the Indian team announced for the Test series against Australia.

Yuvraj is battling both form and fitness issues. He is been replaced by Saurashtra batsman Cheteshwar Pujara.

Opener Gautam Gambhir, spinner Harbhajan Singh and pacer Zaheer Khan have been brought back into the team after recovering from their respective injuries.

The Tests matches are scheduled to be held in Mohali (October 1-5) and Bangalore (Oct 9-13) followed by One-Day Internationals in Kochi (Oct 17), Visakhapatnam (Oct 20) and Goa (Oct 24).

The team for the Test:

MS Dhoni, V Sehwag, G Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tanedulkar, VVS Laxman, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma S Sreesanth, Pragyan Ojha, Murali Vijay and Cheteshwara Pujara. (ANI)
