Mumbai, March 20 -- Indian women went down to Japan 0-3 in the first match of the four-test hockey series at Kakamigahara, Japan, on Friday.
Japan led via Aaki Yamada in the 55th minute. Shiho Sakai flicked home twice from penalty corners to seal Japan's win. The hosts dominated the proceedings earning seven penalty corners against none for India.
