Shillong, Mar 20 (PTI) After his boys went down to Lajong 0-1 in a round 17 encounter of the I-League here today, Pune FC coach Derrick Pereira accused the home side of exhibiting an "unprofessional" approach. "Many incidents that happened during the game were unprofessional. They (Lajong) wasted time by falling down unnecessarily and pretending to be injured," Pereira said at the joint press conference of the coaches after the match. Lajong coach Stanley Rosario immediately dismissed the allegation and said Periera "should not speak like this at a press conference". "A losing coach always complains," Rosario retorted as the press conference witnessed a spar between the two coaches. Periera claimed that at one point of time when the Lajong custodian fell down, Stanley asked the team physio to walk to him instead of jogging to delay the match. "We lost, I accept. But these things should not be done in football. It is also bad for players," he said. Criticising referee Minangshu Bhattacherjee for being "unprofessional", the Pune coach alleged that in international matches, referees won''t allow such delays when a player was "faking." "How can I and the substitutes sitting at the dug-out see if a player in the field is injured or not," Stanley retorted.
