Mumbai, March 22 -- Education for all. That is the social initiative undertaken by the Mumbai Indians (MI) during the third edition of the Indian Premier League. To promote the idea, MI have started the sale of wrist-bands, the proceeds of which will go to their five partner NGOs - Akanksha, Umeed, Pratham, Nanhi Kali and Teach for India. While the team owners are supporting a social cause, skipper Sachin Tendulkar was busy on Monday evening at the Brabourne Stadium spreading the same message to youngsters who aspire to be professional cricketers. Tendulkar gave budding cricketers another lesson on how to build an innings in the shortest format of the game as he helped MI cruise to a seven-wicket victory against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The victory helped MI regain the top spot in the points' table, which they had lost to the Royal Challengers Bangalore after Saturday's loss. KKR's total of 155 for three wasn't as easy to chase as it appeared, considering the fact that MI were chasing for the first time this year. But Tendulkar was in his elements right from the word go as he started his knock with a lesson for Ishant Sharma, spanking the young fast bowler for three boundaries in his first over. Ishant came charging in but to no avail. Tendulkar dispatched his India teammate for three more boundaries to tilt the balance in favour of MI.
When Ishant came back in the 14th over for a late charge, he was again greeted with two boundaries from Tendulkar's bat. The 'Bandra Bomber' then stayed on till MI overhauled the target to round off his lesson for the day.
