Lookin At Lucky has drawn the number one post for the Kentucky Derby and been installed as a 3-1 early favourite for Saturday's race at Churchill Downs.
The inside draw was painful for trainer Bob Baffert since the Rebel Stakes winner will probably be shuffled to the middle of the pack by the first turn in the $2.2 million race.
No horse has won the first leg of U.S. thoroughbred racing's Triple Crown series from the rail since Bill Shoemaker guided Ferdinand to the winner's circle in 1986.
Second favourite is Santa Anita Derby champion Sidney's Candy, who was listed at 5-1 after drawing the far outside 20 post.
