Mumbai, Apr 22 (ANI): Enforcement Department officials on Thursday questioned Indian Premier League (IPL) Commissioner Lalit Modi on his alleged role in the multi crore Indian Premier League.

Modi is at the centre of controversies since he wrote a comment on the social networking site twitter on former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor's persuasion for the Kochi franchise.

This is the third time that Modi has been questioned in the last week.

Officials questioned Modi at his office in a plush central Mumbai hotel, related to IPL for about an hour.

On Wednesday, the IT officials conducted search and survey operations at the offices of Multi-Screen Media (MSM), the International Management Group and the World Sports Group (WSG), all of which are closely connected to Modi-led IPL.

MSM is the telecasting agency of IPL, while WSG is its marketing arm. IMG is the organising agency of the IPL. Besides, a similar exercise was undertaken at the Bandra residence of Venu Nair, CEO of WSG. (ANI)
