Kolkata, July 25 (PTI) Delhi and Chhattisgarh emerged toppers in their respective clusters today to set up a pre-quarterfinal clash in the 64th Senior National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy here. Continuing their fine run, Delhi thrashed Madhya Pradesh 3-1 at Howrah Stadium to register their third consecutive win in cluster V and make last 16. In cluster VI, Chhattisgarh drubbed Haryana 5-1 at Khardah Stadium to set up last 16 clash against Delhi to be held on Tuesday. David Ngaispe gave Delhi an early fourth minute lead but MP equalised through Javed Maniar in the 17th minute. Delhi bounced back after the break scoring two goals to settle the issue. Former HAL midfielder Bhuvan Joshi put Delhi ahead in the 55th minute while Vikash Rawat struck in the 90th minute. In another cluster V match, Budhiram Soren (8th, 23rd and 45+1st minutes) and Tushar Chaudhary (15th, 81st) led the goal rout in their 7-2 win over Arunachal Pradesh. Gyanedra Kashap (45th) and Jitendra Kumar (67th) completed the tally in UP''s win but that was not enough as they finished behind Delhi with 6 points. Having beaten Sikkim in their last match, Chhattisgarh took the lead against Haryana in the third minute through a Wasim Raja strike. After the break, Daniela Pappu scored a brace in the 67th and 82nd minutes, while Kulwant Singh (61st) and Yugal Kishore Purti (63rd) completed their tally. Raghav Khurana pulled one back for Haryana in the 75th minute.
