Ponting tips England to beat Pakistan in Test series

London, July 25(ANI): Australian captain Ricky Ponting believes that England are better equipped to win their upcoming series against Pakistan.

Ponting said that England have got home advantage, and a comparatively balanced side.

"There is no doubt that Pakistan's bowling is one of the best in the world and better than that of England. But when we compare the two it is the all-round ability of the England team that make them favourites for the four match series starting next week," The News quoted Ponting, as saying.

"They have a balanced side in all areas of the game. In comparison, Pakistan have got a weak and inexperienced batting lineup. I do not think, bowling alone can win matches for Pakistan every time. Their young lot will have to show a lot of mental toughness to beat England," he added.

He further insisted that his team made their best effort to make the Headingley Test run chase interesting.

"They had an easy 40 runs to win and my team did all it could to make that difficult and we succeeded in that," he added. (ANI)
