New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) Indian eves went down fighting to title favourites Malaysia 36-59 in the semifinal of seventh Asian Youth Netball Championship at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex here today. Malaysia now take on the winners of the second semifinal between Sri Lanka and Singapore in the summit-clash of the tournament, which is also a test event for the October 3-14 Commonwealth Games. The final will be played tomorrow. The Indians fought hard but could not match the spirited display of the Malaysians, who clinched the match 7-14, 8-12, 9-17, 12-16. The hosts now play the losers of the second semifinal in the third-fourth place playoff. Earlier, Hong Kong registered a narrow 58-57 victory over Thailand in a thrilling group match.
