Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) Lalit Modi, the suspended Indian Premier League chief, Thursday moved the Bombay High Court against the Board of Control for Cricket in India's decision to suspend him, his lawyer said.

'We have moved a petition in the Bombay High Court against the suspension of Modi by the BCCI,' Modi's lawyer Mehmood Abdi told IANS.

'We have also prayed to nullify the disciplinary proceedings of the board against him,' he added.

Modi has also prayed that the court appoint a mutually acceptable panel to consider the replies to the three show-cause notices issued to him under the charges of irregularities in the conduct of the T20 League.

'We have prayed for recall and withdrawal of the suspension order and further proceedings on the three notices,' Abdi said.

The BCCI had issued the suspension order to Modi April 25. Modi was also slapped with three show-cause notices April 26, May 6 and May 31, the lawyer said.
