Kolkata, Aug 27 (PTI) Traditional rivals Mohun Bagan and East Bengal will lock horns for the first time this season in the Sahara Calcutta Football League (Premier Division) match on October 9 at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan here. The league, which started on August 17, will span over a period of three months with the last match being on November 17, the Indian Football Association (West Bengal) said while announcing the full fixture. Reigning champions Mohun Bagan will open their campaign against Tollygunge Agragami on September 1, while last season''s runners-up Chirag United SC will face Railway FC in their first match on August 30. East Bengal will take on Mohammaden AC in their opening encounter on August 31. The league has 17 Premier Division clubs of Kolkata vying for top honours. A total of 136 matches will be played across seven venues. Chirag will have Vidyasagar Krirangan in Barasat as their home venue, while Mohammedan Sporting will play their first three matches at YBK before moving base to their home ground. Mohun Bagan and East Bengal will play on their respective home grounds. The matches involving the top four Kolkata clubs will be held at YBK.
