Croatia marked their first competitive match in nine months with a 3-0 win over Latvia in their opening Group F Euro 2012 qualifier on Friday.
Mladen Petric fired Croatia, who failed to qualify for the World Cup finals in South Africa, ahead with a close range header two minutes before halftime.
Ivica Olic doubled the lead in the 51st minute with another header after pouncing on Petric's cross.
Croatia continued to dominate and Darijo Srna completed the the rout with a cracking shot from the edge of the box nine minutes from time.
Croatia host 2004 European champions Greece, who are favourites to top the group, in Zagreb on Tuesday.
