Lahore, Oct 7 (PTI) Pakistan selectors have named a strong A side for series against the West Indies next month, recalling batsman Faisal Iqbal as captain. Faisal, who was Pakistan''s leading player on the senior team''s tour to New Zealand and Australia early this year, was surprisingly dumped by the selectors for the Twenty20 World Cup, Asia Cup and England tour. But the selectors have now recalled him as captain for the Caribbean tour beginning November 3 and also rewarding number of young players for their consistent performances in domestic cricket. Strangely the board has named a new look management for the Pakistan A side with former Test batsman, Ijaz Ahmed ignored for the coaching slot after being released as assistant coach of the national senior team after the England tour. The Pakistan A squad includes number of names that are yet to make a big impression on the domestic front but the selectors have balanced that out by including some tried and tested performers like Faisal, Khurrum Manzoor, wicketkeeper, Sarfraz Ahmed, Hammad Azam who have already represented the senior side. Pakistan A squad: Faisal Iqbal (Capt), Khurrum Manzoor, Abid Ali, Aamir Sajjad, Naved Yasin, Umair Khan, Hammad Azam, Yasir Shah, Sarfraz Ahmed, Zulfiqar Babar, Junaid Khan, Anwar Ali, Tabish Khan, M Rameez and Shan Masood. Team manager: Naved Akram Cheema Coach: Abdul Rehman.
