Panaji, Nov 8 (PTI) Goa will be hosting three events during the National School Games from November 10 to 14 in the state. Chief Minister Digamber Kamat said that 24 teams will be participating in the Games, scheduled to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda. Goa will be hosting football, baseball and chess in the 56th edition of the Games. Kamat said that Goa has been successfully hosting events during school games for the past 15 years. Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Susan D''Souza said that around 18 teams have already arrived and are rigorously training at the Fatorda ground. She said that Goa is also hoping to clinch medals during the event. "Last year, the state had won 13 gold, 24 silver and 14 bronze medals," D''Souza said adding that the medal tally will be increased this year. Goa will be hosting football girls under-17, baseball for girls and boys and chess.
