London, Nov 8 (ANI): England midfielder Frank Lampard has defended troubled ace striker Wayne Rooney, who witnessed a dip in form after his extra marital affairs became public.
Lampard said that Rooney is a sensitive lad who unites the England dressing room.
Speaking on tonight's Radio 5 Live documentary entitled 'The Real Rooney', Lampard said: "He's a confident boy but not over confident. He's a very sensitive lad."
"We get on very well. He crosses all the boundaries or factions within a squad that you always have. He's one you want next to you as a mate if you go to war - or if you just want a laugh," The Sun quoted him, as saying. (ANI)
