The national Sepak Takraw camp (men and women) for the Asian Games 2010 came to a close at Lucknow on Sunday. The campers were given a warm farewell by Sports Authority of India (SAI) at a city hotel. The camp was organised at UP Badminton Academy from October 25 to November 7.

Talking to The Indian Express, chief coach Hemraj informed, "15 campers in the men's section and 13 in the men's section took part in the game and a 12-member team in the men's and women's section, respectively, has been selected for the Asian Games."

"Sepak Takraw is like a blend of different sports like volleyball, football and gymnastics. But in this game players are not allowed to use their hands while playing. It generally the feet which is used."

Talking about the prospects of the Indian team in the Asiad, Hemraj said, "We had not won any medals in the last edition of the Asian Games. But this year, it is a different story altogether.
