Hamilton 'excited' at prospect of working with Button

London, Jan 12 (ANI): Former Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has struck a rather more conciliatory note regarding his new teammate and current champion, Jenson Button.

Hamilton, who became Formula One's youngest world champion yet in 2008, said he was "excited" by the prospect of working with his title successor.

He added that he was confident they would feed off each other this season - although presumably not in the same 'cannibalistic' fashion in which he and Alonso ate three years ago, The Telegraph reports.

"I'm very excited. What [Jenson] did last year was incredible, and what he has done in his career has been remarkable," Hamilton said.

"I haven't had the chance to meet up with him yet. He's been away training and I've been training, but later on this month is when we get to do our first bit of work together, and I'm sure we'll get on very well," he said.

"Clearly we both want to go into the season on the right foot, and we're going to be working together to push the team forward, but we also both want to win. I think it is a good approach," Hamilton said.

"Jenson's got a huge amount of experience and I'm heading into my fourth year, so I've quite good experience as well, so I think we will both just feed off each other, learn a huge amount from one another," he added. (ANI)
