Pune, Jan 12 (IANS) Talks between Hockey India (HI) and protesting players failed to sort out the payment dispute Tuesday and the national federation issued a stern warning that if they do not return to the World Cup camp, a new set of players will be drafted.

HI president Ashok Kumar Mattoo told IANS that all the probables at the camp attended the meeting along with the coaches and the vice-president of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Antonio Van Ondarza.

'They (players) came up with a break-up each player has to be paid for the year 2009. I don't have the kind of money to meet their demands. We don't have any other choice. I told them if they do not resume training from tomorrow, we are going to have a new set of players for the World Cup,' Mattoo said.

'I hope it does not come to that point and players resume training from tomorrow.'
