Abu Dhabi, Jan 24 (PTI) Jeev Milkha Singh brought home an improved card of two-under 70 to finish five places up the rung at tied 49 after the final round of the Abu Dhabi Open golf tournament here today. The Chandigarh golfer sank four birdies against two bogeys to end with a four-day total of four-under 284, one stroke ahead of other Indian Shiv Kapur, who carded one-under 71 to sign off at tied 56. A 10th tee starter, Jeev opened with birdies on 10th and 11th hole and parred the rest to make the turn at two-under and on his resumption picked up two more birdies at the first and third hole but a couple of bogeys at the fifth and seventh hole pulled him back. Three-under at the turn, Shiv too struggled in his front nine as after sinking two more birdies at the first two holes, the Delhi pro first stumbled on a double bogey at the third and then dropped consecutive bogeys at the fifth and sixth hole to make things worse. At the top, German Martin Kaymer and Ian Poulter of England carded identical six-under 66 to sign off at the first and second place respectively, while Rory Mcilroy of Northern Ireland finished third.
