On a sticky wicket online

New Delhi, Jan. 23 -- The Indian Premier League (IPL) is facing a volley of bouncers. With not even one of the listed Pakistani players finding any takers in the season 3 auction of the popular cricket tournament, a debate amongst fans is raging online.

On Facebook, numerous communities such as 'Boycott IPL in Pakistan' and 'We hate IPL without Pakistan' have started, with hundreds of members in each group, increasing by the day. Statements being posted include, "This is the Isolate Pakistan League," (Salman Mahfooz) and "IPL should not be telecast in Pakistan" (Shoaib Ahmed Khan). Naveed nadeem writes, "Stand up for Champs."

Some, however, feel too much is being made out of the issue. On Twitter, smartsid posts, "Unnecessary fuss about Pakistan players not playing in IPL!"
