Patna, Feb 11 (PTI) Chairman of Bihar Cricket Association and state RJD chief Abdul Bari Siddiqui today accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of not consulting him before nominating him in the organising committee for the CM Cup Cricket Tournament to begin here from March 4. "It is quite surprising to know that my name figures as one of the officer bearers of the organising committee," he told reporters here. Seeking deletion of his name from the committee, Siddiqui said he was not consulted at any point of time. BCA, he said, was an affiliated body of BCCI in the state and as per BCCI norms no office bearers, members or players recognised by BCA would take part in the events organised by any third party (state government). Siddiqui said the state government was, however, free to hold any tournament and claimed that it could only organise school-level and rural-level tournaments. "For the last 10 years we are trying to establish cricket in the state and fighting for full membership of BCA from the BCCI, but the state government had always created disturbances either by way of moving courts or blocking selection exercise.
