Melbourne, Mar 14 (PTI) Australia middle-order batsman Michael Hussey has given a thumbs up to the security measures put in place for the Indian Premier League III, saying the water-tight arrangements has made it easier for him to decide his participation in the Twenty20 event. Hussey, who plays for the Chennai Super Kings, would squeeze in a short IPL stint in between national commitments. Australia play New Zealand in a two-Test series that starts on Friday in Wellington and finishes on March 31. "I''ve been in pretty close consultation with Chennai Super Kings," Hussey was quoted as saying by the Australian Associated Press, a new agency here. "They''re bending over backwards to get everything in place. So I''m pretty confident at this stage that I''ll be more than happy to go," he said. "Fingers crossed. That is their number one priority, the safety of the players, so that has given me a lot of comfort really," he added. Australian cricketers participation in the third edition of IPL was uncertain following last month''s Pune blasts and subsequent terror threats by a militant group against foreign players visiting India.
