New Delhi, March 17 -- Competitive cricket returns to Ferozeshah Kotla on Wednesday. Ever since the infamous pitch controversy in December last, when the India-Sri Lanka tie was abandoned due to a dangerous wicket and the venue banned for a year, there have been speculations on how the wicket would behave. On Tuesday, the wicket, which was termed slow and low during last year's Champions League T20 and the subsequent India-Australia ODI, got a seal of approval from Sachin Tendulkar. "It looks to be a good wicket," said Tendulkar. "It is a typical Delhi track, devoid of grass. At this moment, it looks a very good track to play on. There are no apprehensions." Practice games involving Delhi and Railways players evoked mixed reactions, with some happy and the others terming it slow.
"It's a good track and I don't see any problem with the wicket."
