Chennai, Apr 16 (PTI) Up and coming Indian driver Aditya Patel has finished sixth in the professional category of Scirocco Cup 2010 at the Oschersleben Circuit in Germany. The Chennai lad, who posted the second fastest timing on the first day of testing, went down the order after the second leg as he and engineer Hendry Schulze worked with different options on tyres, set up and driving techniques, a press release by Leander Sports said here today. The season''s opening event is scheduled for April 24 and 25 at Hockenheim circuit, along with the famous German DTM and Formula 3 events. Patel would be driving alongside racing legends like former F1 world champion Damon Hill and Martin Brundle, Jacques Laffite and former world rally champion Carlos Sainz Patel timed 1:44.952 seconds while Stefano Proetto (1:44.115sec) was the fastest. Expressing confidence of excelling in the tough professional circuit, Patel said the car was absolutely fabulous to drive, and that he had learnt a lot in the last two days. "I am confident of putting up a good fight against other professional drivers this season. I really look forward to the season starter on April 25 at the famous Hockenheim circuit," he said.
